The stories that follow are from Brazil, but this book is not about Brazil; it is about Brazilians. Some of the names have been changed, but to the best of our knowledge every story is true.
When you have met the wonderful people presented in these pages we believe you too will be proud to say, "Brazil is where the action is."
The title Dona before a woman's name means "Lady" of "Mrs." When I call people by their given name only, I follow a Brazilian custom. It denotes no lack of respect. On the contrary, it signifies a truly close friendship.
If this humble effort may serve to inspire even one young Christian to dedicate his life to fulltime gospel service we shall feel well repaid
