Seven of the nine volumes of Testimonies for the Church contain chapters devoted to the subject of education. Until the summer of 1968 anyone who wished to consult these chapters had to have before him a full set set of the Testimonies. Anticipating the Quadrennial Council for Higher Education, sponsored by the General Conference Department of Education, at Andrews University in August, 1968, and wishing to make available to delegates Testimony counsels on education, the publishers in counsel with the White Trustees drew together these scattered chapters on education and issued them in a single volume.
