Frank A Oski, born in 1932, is a graduate of Swarthmore College and received his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1958. He served his internship and pediatric residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then studied hematology as a fellow at Harvard at Boston Children's Hospital. He was appointed as an associate in the department of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1963 and assumed the post of professor and chairman of the department of pediatrics at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center, in 1972. In 1985 he assumed the position of director of the department of pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and physician-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Children's CenterDetails
