This is the story of a woman's courage. It likewise is a story of faith. Autobiographical from a chapter in the author's life, this book is a marvelous revelation of God's character-refining love during times of distress.

Mary Holder Dietel was a college professor at the height of her career when, suddenly, one morning she awakened to excruciating pain, seemingly in every part of her body. She describes it this way: "All of my bones were as though suddenly welded to one painful mass by some diabolical trickster in such a fashion that any part of my stiffened anatomy would send electrical shocks to every other part, though only slightly moved or touched."

She didn't know it then, but she was soon to learn that she had been afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis.
