Millions of people in our country need love and someone to care about them. Each one of us who claims to be a Christian owes them that love and concern. Christ is returning to earth again. We have a divine commission to announce that fact to the world.
But contacting others about God scares us. Getting involved with another person makes us feel frightened and inadequate. Some of us can go out on the street corners and talk to people about God. Others of us can't. Those of us who don't know how to witness (or who haven't found a way in which to do it effectively) may simply lack an active imagination.
There are as many ways to witness, as many different ways to let some know he matters to you, as there are individuals. I think at last count that would be about 3.5 billion ways.
In The Handbook Merikay tells of some of the ways concerned Christians have found to share their love for Christ and for each other.
