A great scientist once made a statement to the effect that prayer is the greatest power in the universe, but Christians don't know it. Perhaps that should be revised to say, Prayer gives us access to the greatest power in the universe, but Christians don't know it. For the efficacy is not so much in the prayer as in Him who sets His resources in motion in answer to the prayer of faith.
This is a book about prayer; not the theory of prayer, but down-to-earth responses to prayer. While the experiences of others can never take the place of our own, yet they stimulate faith and encourage us to trust more in our God, who listens to the weakest saint and answers the most tremulous prayer uttered in faith.
