This book brings a most interesting revelation of the life of a Seventh-day Adventist pioneer and her contribution to the many phases of the humanitarian work of her beloved church.

Kate Lindsay's life paralleled those stirring years of the last half of the nineteenth century and practically all the first quarter of the twentieth century. It took courage of an unusual nature in those days to lead out in a new field of thought, but in her veins ran the scotch blood which contained the necessary ingredients to bring about success. She became a distinguished student in a university where she was one of the first women admitted to its School of Medicine.

The human interest side of the life of Dr. Kate, as she was affectionately called, is revealed in this biographical sketch, and it brings about a genuine appreciation in the mind of the reader for one who has done so much for the development of the medical work among Seventh-day Adventists.
