Description
*COVER AND SEVERAL PAGES DISCONNECTED FROM BINDING BUT INTACT. Spine covering worn away.*
The names of the subjects of these Sketches, Elder James White, and Mrs. E. G. White, are widely known, by means of their labors as speakers before large audiences in most of the American States, and also by their numerous writings.
Part of this volume is a reprint of a book published by Elder White several years before his death. It was his intention to issue a second and revised edition, but other work delayed it until it was too late. In this edition it has been the effort, as far as possible under circumstances so widely different, to carry out his intention. The publishers consider the matter which this book contains of very great importance, not only for the personal sketches, but also for the light thrown on some interesting phases of Christian work for the last half century.
