"My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," the Lord told Isaiah. Sometimes God's thoughts and ways are hidden, but when they are revealed they demonstrate how wondrous and marvelous He really is. In this book Martha Odom relates how God took a godless young man, Oliver Montgomery, and made him, in turn, a self-supporting soul winner, a pastor, conference president, and General Conference officer. He then served in South America as the first president of that division.
Several chapters tell the breath-stopping story of how Elder Montgomery, with two companions, negotiated one of the first transcontinental treks of South America made by Caucasians, opening up the headwaters of the Amazon to the influence of the third angel's message. The author Martha Odom is the daughter of the man she writes about.
