This book by Dr. Edward Heppenstall joins with two other volumes from his pen -- Our High Priest, published in 1972, and Salvation Unlimited, released in 1974 -- in discussing some of the grand truths pertaining to the great center of Christianity -- Jesus Christ.
In the first volume he unfold the work of Christ as our great high priest, ministering for His people in the heavenly sanctuary. In the second he deals with man's desperate need of a Savior and God's approach in fulfilling that need.
In this volume he turns reverently to a discussion of Jesus Himself -- Jesus the man. Jesus as the God-man. From a rich and varied background as theologian, teacher, and preacher, he shares with us insights into the place of Christ in human history, the wonder of the Incarnation, the mystery of Jesus' laying aside many of the attributes of deity to become a man, even to become a servant, even to become a servant to suffer death on the cross.
