This book probes the meaning of mission for the contemporary Seventh-day Adventist Church, uncovers numerous disconcerting facts. It reveals that world Christianity has declined from 40 percent of the population in 1910 to less than 20 percent in 1971, and that 70 percent of all Seventh-day Adventists live where only 30 percent of the world population live. It points out that some two billion people have never ever heard of Christ, yet some 90 percent of all Seventh-day Adventists converts come from a Christian background. It makes public the growth rate of the Adventist Church: 1870-1900--432.54 percent; 1900-1930--184.83 percent; and 1930-1960--167.25 percent. Currently only 10 percent of the total Adventist working force engage in pastoral work. Obviously, conventional methods have not succeeded in stopping the spread of Satan's syndicate.

Your mission, if you should decide to accept it, is to read this intriguing book in time to influence your Church's reassessment of its Christian mission. This book will not self-destruct in five seconds, but your present concept of mission will when you finish reading it.
