Description
Becky and Dani had been planning this kite race for weeks, and now the exciting day had come! Their competition, Jerry and Jenny, quickly took the lead. The pressure was on. If Becky and Dani were going to win this race they would have to outsmart their friends and pick a faster course. It wouldn't be easy. They'd have to cross the stream with its strong current and slippery rocks.
Carefully they made their way through the cold water, hoping their caution wouldn't cost them much time. Just a few more steps and they'd be safe.
Suddenly a piercing scream filled the air, followed by a loud splash, Becky had fallen into the water and was being swept out to sea. Dani was helpless. Earnestly she prayed that God would help her find a way to save her friend.
Jerry and Jenny were nearing the finish line. But their excitement turned to terror when they saw Becky and her brightly colored kite rushing through the water. They had to save her. But they needed a rope. All they had were their kites and some nearby driftwood. What would they do?
