Solusi is one of the best known names in the saga of Seventh-day Adventist missions. The Story began when A.T. Robinson, president of the South African Conference and grandfather of the author of this book, and Peter Wessels, were granted an interview with Cecil Rhodes, prime minister of Cape Colony. Asking for a land grant in Rhodesia to start a mission, they were given a sealed letter by the prime minister for his representative in Rhodesia. The contents were not revealed to them. The astonishment of the missionaries when they learned the letter's contents in Rhodesia is well known.
From its inception, in 1894, Solusi was beset with problems, and blessed with strong and resourceful men and women who learned to meet the problems with faith and fortitude, as we learn in this book.
