In this wonderfully accessible book, veteran church pastor, administrator, and evangelist E. E. Cleveland looks at the often overlooked level of our thoughts. With the fervent belief that "we are what we think," the author, in 94 pages of anecdotes and stories, attempts to pull you to a higher level of thought which will produce the right actions. With the basic concept that ideas have consequences, this book, geared for spiritual leaders, gives many helpful thoughts on the great struggles that we face in the battle of soul-winning, the kind of book that could have been written only from someone who has years of experience.
Thoughts change men and, to that extent, the world. These changes are not always obvious. Thoughts have the strange power to isolate the reader from his environment, in a monastery of contemplation as it were, before returning him to it with fresh purpose for positive change. Thought begets thought. The pounding of the hammer and the resistance of the anvil produce the sparks that are, in themselves, the signs of change. The Bible mirrors the high thoughts of God. This book, though a pale echo of those thoughts, is dedicated as an agent of change.
