About the Book
The Waldenses are famous for standing as unmoved as the Italian Alps that sheltered them. How did they remain so firm in their faith when the armies of the Roman church hunted them like animals? What gave them the courage to spread their faith at the risk of their lives?
The Waldenses were among the world’s first believers in freedom. They wanted freedom to study; freedom to worship; freedom to teach others; and most of all, freedom to believe.
These dramatic stories illustrate the joys and challenges faced by the Waldensian people. Accompanied by detailed drawings, they give today’s reader a realistic view of daily life for these faithful people in the Dark Ages.
As you read, you will be inspired to greater faithfulness, and deeper gratitude. Along the way, you will come to understand the secrets that strengthened the Waldenses to stand for God no matter what.
