In this brief account, the authors tell their story from several angles, in both words and pictures. The opening chapter describes a typical mercy mission made possible by the Fernando Stahl, with its skilled pilot and other hardworking young missionaries. In the second chapter Pastor Aitken sketches the backgrounds of missions in South America and describes the steps taken which led to the formulation of a denominational plan for the operation of small planes in mission fields. Finally he narrates the triumphant procurement of the Fernando Stahl.

In chapter three Mrs. Aitken tells of the background of the Kansas farm boy, Clyde Peters, who became the first missionary pilot of the Fernando Stahl. In chapter four she takes the reader on a tour of the primitive jungle outposts regularly visited by the Fernando Stahl and its newer companion aircraft, the Ricardo Hayden.

Finally, some letters are quoted which Clyde and Eleanor Peters wrote their parents and other relatives soon after arrival in Peru. These firsthand impressions will give additional insights into foreign missionary service as seen through the eyes of a newly arrived young couple.
