About the Book
If the history of the world were a journey, where would we be? In his book, When the Conflict Ends, What Then? author Carl H. Waters uses the map of Scripture, with its histories and prophecies, to take the reader on a journey through time, beginning with the Creation and the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden and ending with the final conflict between good and evil before Christ returns.
Waters traces the distortion of God’s character through paganism’s amalgamation with true faith. He highlights the role of faith’s defenders, who have arisen throughout history to share the truth of God’s love and mercy. He emphasizes God’s law, which sustains and governs all things living, and God’s sovereignty in the universe and His unwillingness to force anyone to comply with His will. Additionally, he lays out principles for interpreting prophecy and finds symbolism in the Old Testament sanctuary to help the reader understand God’s plan to rescue all who are willing. When the Conflict Ends, What Then? shows readers the “X” on the map of human history as we head toward the resolution of the final conflict, which says, “YOU ARE HERE!”
“Rich in historical detail, Waters shows how the Old Testament finds its fulfillment in the New Testament, and how that fulfillment applies to us today in how we are to worship and come into the presence of God.” ~ Conrad Vine, Pastor
“This book offers explanations to the often-common questions and misunderstandings of a Sovereign God interacting with humanity prior to and after free moral agents were subject to the curse of sin. For bible scholars, students, teachers, pastors, or avid historians, this read is a wonderful addition to your library.” ~ Gary James, Executive Director

"The author presents a detailed and accurate outline of human history from a scriptural perspective with a timeline given from the antediluvian period (pre-flood) to the culmination of earth’s history at the second advent of Christ. Those who have an affinity to history will be particularly pleased that the author covers thoroughly the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation and their relation to contemporary historical events.
What I found very useful was the author’s inclusion of the chapter “Biblical Principles of Interpretation” near the beginning which further aids in the understanding of the book and of the bible itself. The theological principles are clearly defined and help the reader understand not only the acts of God but also the ways of God. I especially enjoyed the thorough explanations of the Sanctuary, its precepts, and the life application of God’s plan of salvation for humanity. This book offers explanations to the often-common questions and misunderstandings of a Sovereign God interacting with humanity prior to and after free moral agents were subject to the curse of sin. For bible scholars, students, teachers, pastors, or avid historians, this read is a wonderful addition to your library."

"Carl Waters has presented an excellent overview of three interlocking themes: how God has ordained that we connect with Him from Eden to today; how the rise and fall of earthly kingdoms and their impact on God's faithful children is laid out in Scripture; and how we may have the assurance of salvation today.
Waters outlines from Eden onward the way by which we may worship and enter into the presence of God, culminating in Jesus Christ as our Heavenly High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary. Great detail is provided in the prophecies of Daniel, which focus on the rise and fall of empires (Daniel 2), the rise of a blasphemous power that persecutes God's saints (Daniel 8), the exact timing and purpose of the death of Jesus Christ on Calvary (Daniel 9), and the final climactic events of earth's history before the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ (Daniel 10-12).
Rich in historical detail, Waters shows how the Old Testament finds its fulfillment in the New Testament, and how that fulfillment applies to us today in how we are to worship and come into the presence of God."
