It Was Like That is an anthology that will take you with the author on a poetic journey back through some of her amazing experiences.

Carrie holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Her graduate studies in social work and psychology were done at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa.

Previous published poetry, Hand in Hand won Editor's Choice award in 1996. The anthology Across the Universe is in the National Library of Congress ISBN # 157553-067-8.
