This book is a guide written to help parents lead older children in a character study of Jesus. Readers will explore the various facets of Jesus and His mission and ministry through a number of symbols found in the Bible. Symbols and concepts are illustrated through numerous Scripture texts. Questions are frequently presented to stimulate the child to think for him or herself.
Ida Brown writes, believing that children can learn to study the Bible, its deep concepts and truths, and think for themselves. Parental guidance is highly encouraged to ascertain that the child correctly understands the Bible passages studied. Repetition will be needed to allow the child time to learn, comprehend, and master the concepts presented.

About the Author
Ida Brown is a wife of 23 years, a mother, dental hygienist, and health advocate. Her motivation for writing this book is to share the word pictures of Jesus she has discovered in her studies. She says, “I pray that understanding the symbols of Christ will open up the reader’s mind to deeper truths about our Savior.”
About the Author
Ida Lee Hodge is the grandmother of the author. She is not only an illustrator but is an author as well, who was excited to be able to work on a project with her granddaughter. Partnering together for the kingdom brought joy for both Ida Lee and Ida Irene.
