Sometimes life is hard. Sometimes it's difficult to see how we are going to make it. We all face struggles, challenges, and even roadblocks in our lives. And when it seems like we have no strength to carry on, we must remember that we do not need OUR power to do so. Oh no! It is our God above who will take our hand and breathe the strength we need into our failing selves, and who will give us the courage to conquer more than we could ever imagine.

This small devotional sharing poignant stories from the author's life to show us that even in our most desperate situations God is always ready to help. Whether it is being thrown into the midst of racial hatred in South America, or coming into a position that could end in suicide, the author pours her soul out to God and asks Him to give her the power and wisdom to face the darkness. We can receive this very same power from our loving God. All we must do is let Him. He wants to give us HIS power ... to face today's crisis ... to love with all our heart ... to trust again ... to let go of anger ... to be at peace.

Take a moment today to read and reflect on the events shared in this devotional and ask God to give you the beautiful gift of His power for today.
