The Final Atonement calls the attention of the church to Christ’s imminent cleansing of the sanctuary as graphically depicted in the apocalyptic prophesies of scripture. It unpacks many components associated with end-time events, both earthly and heavenly, including the prophetic import of the unique turmoil of the early 2020s. It points readers forward to the momentous events in the courts of heaven and among the nations of earth foretold by inspiration that lie just ahead.
Mark Shipowick does another deep dive into the apocalyptic prophecies in this complement to his previous volume, Ezekiel’s Temple. The author highlights several pivotal occurrences from the past, globally and even domestically, and emphasizes their relevance to the overarching conflict between Christ and Satan. He identifies a pattern of repetition and proposes that some of these historical events will unfold again. Along that vein, he prompts readers to reexamine certain stances well-established in Adventist orthodoxy and provides intriguing corroboration of his unorthodox conclusions from the pen of inspiration.
Readers are encouraged to carefully and prayerfully study and determine their level of agreement for themselves with the cases Shipowick has built. They will identify the burden on his heart to see his brethren comprehensively prepared for Jesus to finalize His victory over the wretched enemy, restore His cherished people to His image, and lead them home at last.

Mark Shipowick is a veteran author. The Hinton, West Virginia, native experienced an eclectic professional life, dipping his active hands into gardening, repair, and writing, as well as his fertile mind into the business world and inventorship and his mission-oriented heart into health outreach. He partially enjoys the freedom of retirement yet remains active full time in the Lord’s service.
