About the Book
In this sequel to Peace in Prison, author Joy Dutton-Seltzer offers more short devotional thoughts and stories that are based on her life experiences of learning to trust in God and claim His Bible promises. These real answers to her prayers have led her to a steadfast belief in God and His ways—something she wants to share with you! As she notes—fortunately for all of us—there is no sin too big for God to forgive. His words of encouragement to us are, “You have failed, but YOU, my child, are NOT a failure.” Enjoy and be blessed by these stories of hope, encouragement, and forgiveness! Then think about others who need this same message.
Do you have a heart for lonely people? Including someone who’s less than desirable in the eyes of society or forgotten—such as someone in jail? Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…, I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:34, NIV).
Share Joy’s message with those who are in prison. Let this book tell them the truth about themselves and God. We all are trying to fill an emptiness in us that only God can fill. We have all failed some part of our lives. Some failures have put us behind bars. But even there, our Creator is ready to wrap His arms of love around us and forgive us. Even if we have sinned and feel we have messed up our lives beyond fixing, Jesus says, “…with God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26, KJV). There is no sin too big for God to forgive. No matter where a person is or what he or she has done, God still has a perfect plan for a new life. God specializes in being close to those behind bars! Give someone in prison this message of hope that they are desperately longing to hear!
