About the Book
What does a child do when Mom is lost in her own world of fear and pain? What does a child do when Dad escapes to the world of alcohol to numb his wounds and sense of failure? What does a child do when there’s no answer to the questions that need so much to be answered?
Whether they come from dysfunctional homes, troubled families, or experience something entirely out of their control, children can be frightened, confused, hurting, and angry. They then can grow up and repeat the mistakes of their parents. Is there any way out of this cycle?
Nancy experienced such a childhood. Her question was, “Why do we have to go through all of this?” As if talking to a friend, she explains her journey and how she found the answer.
"This is an amazing true story of one family's search for meaning and triumph even in adversity. This engrossing book invites us all to join Nancy's family and experience the same transformative journey." - Kristina Zanotti, Esq.
