About the Author

Kay Frances King Munson was born in Hickory, North Carolina, in 1947. The oldest of twelve children, Kay graduated from E. E. Smith Senior High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and received her bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University in 1981. She retired from the University of Illinois Hospital and taught in the Chicago, Illinois, and Fayetteville, North Carolina, public school systems and the Adventist school system. Kay is an active member and Sabbath school teacher at the Abney Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is the mother of a wonderful son.
