Description
About the Book
In choosing men and women for His service, God does not ask whether they possess worldly wealth, learning, or eloquence. He asks, “Do they walk in such humility that I can teach them My way? Can I put My words into their lips? Will they represent Me?” God can use every person just in proportion as He can put His Spirit into the soul temple. The work that He will accept is the work that reflects His image. His followers are to bear, as their credentials to the world, the ineffaceable characteristics of His immortal principles.
~Ellen G. White, God’s Amazing Grace, p. 267~
A friendly but lonely country boy, Eric was quite young when he decided he would be an artist. Yet in high school, a problem loomed: how would he pursue his passion when the options before him were so restrictive? The only solution Eric could see was to leave behind his Adventist upbringing, move to the city, and finally spread his wings. But more than mere opportunity awaited him, and the past was not so easily left behind ….
In this illustrated narrative of an artist’s coming of age, witness as Eric and his loved ones struggle to compose lives from a palette of yearning, sadness, temptation, and the irresistible love of Jesus. And marvel at the restorative brushstrokes of an Artist who never forgets His children.

About the Author

Wayne Edmond Hazen paid forward his love of art through more than thirty years as a professor. In 1998, he founded the School of Visual Arts and Design at Southern Adventist University and served as the school’s dean.
Now retired, Wayne enjoys drawing and illustrating from the comfort of his home in Clayton, OK. He’s had no shortage of adventures—he once lived with a stone age group in the Amazon—but through all of life’s chapters, he remains anchored by the biblical teaching he received in his youth. Says Wayne, “God never forgets His children.”
