About the Book

If you enjoy stories of answered prayers and miracles, then this is the book for you! Journey along with the author as he learns not only to trust in the Lord but also to wait patiently on Him. This autobiography will take you through the experiences of Vernon Putz as he navigates: the US Army, physical therapy training and career, marriage, children, mission work, transitioning to become a pastor, and you’ll have to read the rest for yourself. You will experience the thrill of miracles, agonize over the waiting, and share his joy at leading countless people to the Lord. And as you read, may you be brought into a closer and more dependent relationship with Jesus.

The Sabbath Bus is a book with a heart, a book that brings its readers right into story time with “Uncle Vernon.” The author shares his faith-filled life as a series of miracles in the world of everyday living. Sharing his journey will bless readers, who after completing the book might even have a better glimpse of how God has worked in their walk with Him. In short, a delightful ride on The Sabbath Bus could even transform the way you look at life. Happy reading! —George R. Knight, retired professor of Church History in the SDA Theological Seminary

Do you believe in miracles? The word “miracle” is defined as: “a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency. In this book, Vernon Putz, shares real stories from his personal journey of faith and dependence on God. He clearly narrates in a simple straight-forward refreshing way evidences of God’s leading in his life. This book is profoundly captivating and an inspirational testimony of faith in action and reliance on God. —Josué (Josh) Rosado, Retired Educator and School Administrator

Showcase God’s transforming power in the life of my dear friend...

    ALR on 7th Apr 2021

TEACH Services received the following review: "How did a physical therapy student in California end up pastoring Moscow’s first English-speaking Seventh-day Adventist church in the chaotic years after the collapse of the Soviet Union? I didn’t know when I attended the church in 1995. But you can find out in this precious collection of stories that showcase God’s transforming power in the life of my dear friend, Vernon Putz, a true missionary for Christ." ~ Andrew McChesney, Adventist Mission Quarterlies
