What do you celebrate? Birthdays? Holidays? Special events?

Did you know that the Bible talks about a number of special celebrations? The first celebration is the Sabbath! But God didn’t stop there! He instituted a number of other celebrations for His people, the children of Israel, to remember Him and what He did for them when He brought them out of Egypt.

Celebrations will introduce you to the special events of the Bible and the reasons why God told the people to celebrate these days. With simple explanations and beautiful images, children of all ages will enjoy learning Bible history and seeing how these days of old apply to our lives today!

About the Author

Gennifer Anderson grew up in a small rural town in Minnesota, and she still attends the same small church. One enthusiastic VBS leader lit the bug in Gennifer, and she has been involved in VBS ever since, helping with up to two programs a year and writing the programs for the last several ones. Gennifer and her husband, Jeremy, and boys are part of a migratory beekeeping family with seasonal homes in Minnesota and California. No matter where they are, their big living room is often filled with extended family and friends for great homemade meals, good books, and stimulating conversation.

About the Illustrator

Susan works as a graphic design artist and has called many places home, but Minnesota is where she and husband, Will, have just bought their first house. Growing up as a homeschooler, Susan developed her talents for art, story telling, singing, and playing guitar. Susan's illustrations are a glimpse into her passion for family, friends, and joyful celebrations. She is often found laughing and telling stories to a captive audience on Sabbath afternoons at her cousin Gennifer's house
