About the Author

With the support of his family, teachers, and Providence, Lowell Dunston found Adventist education “a good place to grow” as he learned lessons of diligence, integrity, cooperation, resourcefulness, optimism, and trust in God.

While working hard to pay for his education, creating radio spots to bring a local church into the community spotlight, rehabilitating a church or school inside and out, driving a vanload of children to school before a day of teaching, sharing the power of music with brethren in distant lands, or fighting depression through God’s promises and providence—the author learned how to find joy in the journey, and it is his fervent hope that, in reading this book, you will find the same joy!
