About the Book
“On our last demo, Lena invited us into her new double-wide home—so new it had been delivered just two days before, and they were moving in. Lena had The Bible Story as a child. She had read them through. She wanted them for her baby girl. She could hardly let me say any of my presentation. She wanted to know how much and how to get them right now!
When I put the Bible Readings into her hands and just turned a couple of pages, she excused herself for a moment. When she returned, tears were pouring down her face. She did not say why. She got her business checkbook and wrote the deposit. Her lead card was four months old...People are still waiting. Who will go?”
Read faith-building stories of divine appointments that show there are still people out there searching for Jesus! Learn about Daniel, who was adopted twice, Sheila, who mistakenly thought the author was selling a washing machine, and how God might lead us down a pig path to reach His children.
The author hopes that the reader will gain a renewed sense of what God can do through His hands-on earth—His children! She desires to inspire her readers to share Jesus with others. The author shares her love of literature evangelism and wants to inspire others to love it too.
Available in PAPERBACK and eBOOK formats.
About the Author
Gladys Joy Bazemore currently works in Laurens County and surrounding counties in middle Georgia as a literature evangelist. Although she can’t pick just one favorite Bible text, she really likes Psalm 34:4, “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
Her hobbies include reading, baking, journaling, playing piano while her husband plays saxophone, hiking, and rock climbing, taking nature photos, growing zinnias to give away, road trips, camping, directing a brass ensemble, and painting murals.
Gladys likes to experiment with combinations in the kitchen. Most meals are a thumbs-up hit, but sometimes her husband says, “What is this? Don’t try that again!” But her Sabbath morning blueberry bake with blueberries, granola, and vanilla almond milk is always a thumbs-up hit!

"Having been associated with Literature Evangelism for 30 plus years I highly recommend this resource to all current Literature Evangelists, those considering Literature Evangelism as a profession, and to all others who may welcome a sense of joy and encouragement in their lives. Fifty Divine Appointments seeks to convey to the reader the providential and overarching grace of the Almighty at work in the lives of frail humanity, both in ministering and being ministered to, and the rich blessings that ensue."

"When coming into contact with people that we would like to influence in a positive manner, one of the most important factors is that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we must develop a familiarity that will allow people to be open to what we would like to share. In working with the author of Fifty Divine Appointments for several years, I have been impressed with her ability to allow the Holy Spirit to enable her to have the familiarity with people to inspire them. I have been impressed with her daily documenting of her experiences in ministry. This has enabled her to bring back these experiences with a freshness that will inspire the reader to experience these “Divine Appointments.” These fresh testimonies are presented in a short story form that will inspire the reader."

TEACH Services received the following review:
"Fifty Divine Appointments is an outgrowth of several years of experience as front-line literature evangelists. Gladys Joy, along with her husband, Larry, have shared the gospel with countless numbers of people as they have conducted their ministry. Here, they share their experiences to inspire others for what God has done in their lives. As you read this book, you will be blessed to see the many lives that have been changed by the touch of the Holy Spirit through literature. May this inspire you to go out and do likewise. There is a vast need in every community for more Bazemores!"

"There is no greater feeling in life than to know that you were God’s person, in God’s place, in God’s timing. In Fifty Divine Appointments, Gladys Joy Bazemore recounts providential experiences that will leave no doubt that she and her husband Larry were exactly where God wanted them to be. You will be blessed and encouraged by what God can do through people who are committed to Him. The exciting stories also remind us of the powerful place the printed page still has in reaching people for the Kingdom of God."
