Author Kraid Ashbaugh devoted his life to the study of the Bible as a Seventh-day Adventist minister, and after his retirement, he served as a volunteer for The Quiet Hour radio broadcast until his death in 1999. He believed wholeheartedly in being "ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" (1 Peter 3:15).
