About the Book
“I love school,” I declared happily! Little Sheri was only four years old when she enrolled in kindergarten at Larchwood Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Read along as Sheri grows up going to church, church school, and sharing in the antics of her four older brothers. A warm, loving, Christian home formed a solid foundation in Sheri’s heart, giving her a love for Jesus and His Sabbath day of rest. Included at the end of this heartwarming story are a few tips on making Sabbath the best day of the week for children.

About the Author
Born and raised in Philadelphia and Pine Forge, Pennsylvania, Sheri Calhoun graduated from Pine Forge Academy and later from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, and received a BA in English. She then earned a master’s degree in education from Cabrini University in Radnor, Pennsylvania. She currently resides in Philadelphia, where she teaches high school English. She is a member of Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church, Philly’s “Mother Church,” where the motto is “In the heart of the city, with a heart for the city.” Sheri’s favorite Bible passage is Psalm 27. She is learning French with the intention of going to France to immerse herself in the culture and language.
