About the Book

Special to God is a small collection of Bible-based, narrative poems that trace humanity's origin, moral fall, and planned restoration. These poems illustrate our unique place and purpose within God's plan and hopefully generates a deeper interest in the Bible's central theme. Primarily intended for the family, the young reader will find the book continues to appeal in new ways through its engaging illustrations, delightful rhymes, the richness of vocabulary, and intriguing subject matter. Opportunities are presented for interaction within family worship settings and may serve as icebreakers or discussion starters at church social gatherings. Inspired by her infant grandson, Boucaud-Moore's purpose for this collection of poems is to promote exploration of the Scriptures to uncover God's work in the redemption of humankind. This book can stand alone, but it is one of a series. The other books in this series are titled God Is with Me All the Time, Love Is Everywhere, and My Emotions Are a Gift. Together, they are an excellent way to give insight into the eternal plan for humanity and inspire a deep love and appreciation for God.

“…is an excellent introduction for the family, to the Bible.” - Andrea Quashie, Great-grandmother

“…spirit-filled, enriching, soul-searching and inspiring. It encapsulates the story of man's existence from creation to the cross and beyond.” – Janette James, Retired School Principal

  1. An Inspiration 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Nov 2023

TEACH Services received the following review:
"The small book entitled SPECIAL TO GOD is a bible-based book of poetry that chronicles from the dawn of creation to man’s redemption. The book is about the story of the relationship between man and his creator.
One is drawn into the author’s unique style of creating rhythm and rhyme as the story of family relationship with God are highlighted. The poems draw the reader’s attention to God in bible-based narrative that challenges one to think on Christ. It is easy to read.
Although motivational and devotional, the book generally is thematic and, in some aspects, can be a bit more cohesive in bringing together the varying aspects of the theme ‘Special to God’.
This little work of poetry is an inspiration , a breath of fresh air, a real eye opener, suited to the normative Christian bible student or family, even the theologian who may wish to crystalize his points with poetic inspiration.
I give this book a rating of a nine out of ten, as it contains what people and young worshippers can appreciate. And any person can put these words to music or rap." – Pastor St. Hugh Henry

"The book SPECIAL TO GOD is an excellent introduction for the family, to the bible. Even the youngest members of the family will find it exciting because of the rhyming words which also helps them remember what is read. Regular reading of it is likely to mold the child from a very young age, to want to do what is right and pleasing to God, to enjoy all the promises He has made. It is a captivating read for the curious mind." - Andrea Quashie, Great Grandmother

  4. Deep, and reflective, and makes the quiet reader follow attentively. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Nov 2023

TEACH Services received the following review:
"The writing style employed in 'Special To God’ is unique, and must allow for some getting used to, but it is deep, and reflective, and makes the quiet reader follow attentively.
'The work was inspired by my infant grandson, as a tool to interest him in the Father’s plan for us and to generate love and loyalty toward God”' In a swell of generosity, the author moves in and out of the narrative to show that God has thought out, planned, and intimately created his children (Psalms 139:1-24). He prepared for our birth, and he gave us everything we needed to succeed. She shows that our father God is the ultimate parent; in his omniscience, he sees our failures and short comings, and has made a way through Jesus Christ. Leaving nothing to chance, he sent a comforter in the Holy spirit, so if we are saved, it will ultimately be by our choice. Mindful of the enemy’s efforts, the author makes a deep and fervent appeal to each reader. ‘You are most precious to your father. He thinks you are special, and has done, and will do everything to bring you into his Kingdom. He has gone to prepare a place for you. Do, please come.’
Once again thank you, Sister Grace Boucaud-Moore. Only when we know our value, can we truly appreciate the cost of our souls. Our salvation and happiness are the joy of our father." – Nigel Walcott, Safety Consultant BSc, AAS, MT Cert, LSF.
