About the Book

In The Way through the Wilderness, the author invites readers to walk alongside her in a deeply personal account of discovering God's love, mercy, and favor. This memoir is not just a story of a woman finding God—it's a journey of finding truth and forging a real, intimate relationship with Jesus.

Written as a reminder to herself of God's enduring love, this book is a heartfelt reflection of the peace and joy that come from a life surrendered to the Divine. Through her lessons learned and the new perspectives she shares, the author offers readers an opportunity to deepen their own spiritual walk.

Whether you are in a season of wilderness or are seeking a fresh perspective on your relationship with God, the wisdom and experiences shared in these pages will inspire and encourage you on your own journey.

May you, too, find peace, joy, and a deeper connection with the Creator as you read.

“Dr. Meryl James-Sebro takes her readers on a soul-stirring exploration and transformative spiritual journey through the wilderness of life. “She charts a path forward in the search for purpose and a deeper meaning of life. Marshalling her own experiences, she makes the point that wildernesses will be successfully navigated, not in one's physical strength or religious observances, but in relationship with the triune God. “Join James-Sebro on this journey to the true source of empowerment, wholeness, and real fulfillment.”

~Lola Alakija Pastor & Broadcast Journalist Lagos, Nigeria

“… a spiritual odyssey and faith pilgrimage, traversing America and the Caribbean filled with notable highs and lows, a story crafted with incredible grace and dignity. With candor and vulnerability, she weaves a memoir that brings tears but also encouragement and empowerment to those facing similar circumstances. “This beautifully written and skillfully crafted book captures Dr. James-Sebro’s conviction that the way through the wilderness, no matter the kind of wilderness we find ourselves in, is possible only as we put our trust and confidence in a loving and merciful God.”

~Trevor O’Reggio, Ph.D. Chair & Professor, Church History Dept., Seventh-day Adventist Seminary, Andrews University Berrien Springs, Michigan, USA

“This beautifully written book shines a new and creative light on our understanding of the wilderness as a place of hope and new beginnings. It is a book that everyone should read.”

~Walter Douglas, Ph.D. Professor Emeritus & Chair, Dept. of History and Philosophy of World Religion, Andrews University Berrien Springs, Michigan, USA
