About the Book

“Lord, I know that You know I am blind; so, if it be Your will, O Lord, please give me my eyesight back, but not my will, but Yours be done. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

“Lord, I cannot do what You desire for me to do because I am young and afraid.”

These are just two of the prayers that Gary Davis prayed in his early life before coming to trust God with his life after years of faulty thinking and self-destructive choices. Though he had a simple trust in God as a child, it took him years to realize how much he was loved by God and what God wanted to do with his life. In Born to Die in Order to Live, Gary tells his story in a humble and transparent way, describing how a near-death experience was an anchor for the rest of his life.

It is a touching story of few pages that could make the difference in your life or in the life of someone you care about.

“I hope readers will be blessed by the GOOD LORD and that some will consider giving their life to Him, accepting Him as their personal Savior.”

“I would definitely recommend this book especially, for those who don't know Christ as their personal savior. I think this book will be especially good for young people who are looking for direction, in this sinful world.”

~Elder Wayne Tinsley

“An excellent testimony from childhood to an adult of God's goodness of a man who was born to die in order to live.”

~ Elder Sheldon McDougald

“His testimony serves to show others that we serve a forgiving God, and no matter our past, if we are willing, our Heavenly Father can still use us.”

  1. Inspiting 5 Star Review

"The story was inspiring. The author was introduced to the Lord at an early age but was led away by the enemy seeking to destroy him. God preserved him through an accident, drugs, and alcohol. I am amazed that with all he went through in his teenage and adult life, a vehicle accident, drugs, and alcohol, his life was preserved for a greater purpose. His testimony serves to show others that we serve a forgiving God, and no matter our past, if we are willing, our Heavenly Father can still use us."

  3. Especially good for young people who are looking for direction 5 Star Review

TEACH Services received the following review:
"This book by Gary Davis, is a good book for all ages. It starts out with him when he was young and through his journey of becoming a Christian. This book touches on why we must have a close intimate relationship with God and that prayer is the key to unlock the door to that relationship along with us reading and studying our Bible. This book also touches on why we must have a constant prayer life. It tells of a loving compassionate savior who, even in our waywardness, and sin is always trying to save us and will do any and everything in His power to save us, because His love is unconditional for us. This book reveals the love and character of God. This book also speaks of the great controversy between good and evil and it lets us know that there are only two choices. 1. We can accept Jesus as our loving savior who loves us and dies for our sins. 2. We can follow Satan who is the father of all evil, which will lead to death and destruction. This book is very informative on how to become a Christian, and how to die to self, and to live for Christ who loves us and gave His life as a sacrifice for us. I would definitely recommend this book especially, for those who don't know Christ as their personal savior. I think this book will be especially good for young people who are looking for direction, in this sinful world."
